UBC Hosts Congress 2008

UBC Press is proud to be a sponsor of the 2008 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences

Congress 2008

Thinking Beyond Borders - Global Ideas: Global Values

May 31st - June 8th

The annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences is a national celebration of intellectual life in Canada. The largest multidisciplinary academic gathering in the country, Congress has been a meeting place for leading public intellectuals, authors, researchers and scholars for 75 years.

The University of British Columbia will be hosting this year's event, which is expected to be the largest conference yet, with over 9,500 delegates attending.
If you're one of them, be sure to visit the Congress Book Fair. Featuring over 150 Canadian and international publishers, UBC Press will also be present with several booths and more than 800 books on display, all of which will be discounted from 20 to 40%.

For further details about the Book Fair, including directions to the event and the UBC Press Congress Order Form, visit our Congress 2008 Book Fair page.
